Fantasy Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Running Backs, Week 9: Is Ezekiel Elliott a sit?
Ahead of the Week 9 games, here is a little start and sit advice for some big name fantasy running backs soon to hit the field on Sunday.
Start ‘Em
David Johnson, Houston Texans
Johnson is a great fantasy start for Week 9 facing the Jaguars. The Jags are allowing RBs to combine for 151 yards per clash. This is also a game that should see the Texans playing ahead, affording Johnson plenty of run action.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kansas City Chiefs
CEH should hopefully get his fantasy game back on course. The Chiefs should have to be more competitive this game around against Carolina. Therefore, CEH is set to rebound facing a Panthers defense ceding the fourth-most RB fantasy points.
Sit ‘Em
Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys
Not in the running for producing RB1 fantasy numbers as of late, Elliott is a sit for Week 9 against the Steelers. The Cowboys offense is a complete dumpster fire. And, Elliott is nursing a hamstring injury.
Combine this with the fact that Pittsburgh has given up the second-fewest RB fantasy points all season, and Elliott is likely doomed.

Todd Gurley, Atlanta Falcons
Sometimes a good start and sometimes not, Gurley should be benched in Week 9. His fantasy points are becoming touchdown-dependent and with the Broncos allowing only three RB scores all year, Gurley needs to be faded.
Leonard Fournette, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Fournette needs to be sitting during his Sunday Night Football matchup against the Saints. This is likely going to be very competitive a pass-heavy game on both sides. With the Saints giving up the least RB fantasy points to date, Fournette will be the odd man out.
