2021 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings
Which wideouts look hot for the 2021 season? Let’s take a look at this ranking of these top-20 fantasy wide receivers.
Wide Receiver Rankings
1. Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills
Diggs was a total stud for those who took a flier on him in 2020. He and Josh Allen connected for an amazing league-high 127 receptions and 1,535 yards at the close of the year. Look for more of this fantasy gold from this duo next fall.
2. Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers
The Packers run one of the most reliable offenses in the NFL. Adams last averaged 10.6 targets per outing and found the end zone 18 times over 14 games. He’ll be busy again in 2021, no questions asked.
3. DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals
I think Hopkins only gets better as a fantasy WR in his second season playing with Kyler Murray. Last year saw Hopkins catch 87.9% of his targets for 1,407 yards. Here’s to hoping Hopkins builds on his six TDs from 2020.
4. Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs
Hill last played 15 games, when he produced 15 touchdowns and 1,276 yards. Playing on a high-rolling Chiefs offense, manned by Patrick Mahomes, keeps Hill well within the discussion as a top-five fantasy WR for 2021
5. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
Jefferson was a hot fantasy commodity for those lucky enough to have this rookie on their 2020 roster. On the season, Jefferson racked up 1,400 yards and scored seven times. He’s considered dynasty fantasy gold moving forward.
6. D.K. Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks
Metcalf is a physical beast on the field. He scored 10 times and averaged 81.4 yards per game. Even sharing the field with Tyler Lockett, Metcalf should still continue to be the No. 1 option both for Russell Wilson and in fantasy.
7. Calvin Ridley, Atlanta Falcons
Ridley is now the WR to own in Atlanta. He’s coming from a fantastic 2020 for which he rewarded his fantasy owners a generous 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns. Draft Ridley with confidence this fall and do not look back.
8. Terry McLaurin, Washington Football Team
During a 2020 year filled with complexity at the QB position, McLaurin still managed to average 74.5 yards and nine targets per game. His numbers should only rise this season with the ageless Ryan Fitzpatrick slinging the ball.
9. Amari Cooper, Dallas Cowboys
Last year catching passes from multiple quarterbacks, Cooper still managed 1,114 yards. The return of QB Dak Prescott will mean the world. Let’s just hope that Cooper exceeds his five TDs scored in 2020.
10. Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs WRs are a tough crew to rank. Evans doesn’t always get the yards and volume, but he’s a dominant force in the end zone. He and Tom Brady connected for 13 touchdowns in 2020 when more of the same could be on tap.
11. Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers
Give Allen and Justin Herbert a full season together in 2021 and he stands a great chance of improving upon the 70.9 yards he averaged per clash last year. The touchdowns will keep coming too.
12. Allen Robinson, Chicago Bears
Robinson was a producer no matter who was quarterbacking in Chicago. He last recorded 1,250 yards and six touchdowns. Get a seasoned passer in that of Andy Dalton in there with Justin Fields perhaps taking over at some point, and Robinson should keep those WR1 numbers rolling in.
13. A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans
Brown is on the mend from having a double knee surgery. Provided he heals well, the young receiver will look to build on his 76.8 yards he averaged per contest and perhaps even his 11 scores he managed in his 14 games.
14. Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Another Bucs WR makes the top-15. Godwin’s production (yards per game) declined from his stellar 2019 season. However, give Godwin a full and healthy season and Brady slinging the pigskin, and Godwin should make for a reliable WR2 in any given game.
15. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
Like with Cooper, Lamb’s fantasy value sees a boost with Prescott back. He will look to build upon the five touchdowns scored in 2020 and perhaps even increase his yards averaged per game (58.4) as a rookie.
16. D.J. Moore, Carolina Panthers
Moore needs to score more and hopefully will do so with Sam Darnold under center. Luckily Moore is a big yards-per-reception guy, having averaged 18.1 last season. More of the same would be great!
17. Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers WR trio of Johnson, JuJu, and Claypool, drove us bonkers on nearly a weekly basis. I’m going to stick with Johnson as the top fantasy option because he drew the highest target share (144 in 15 games) in 2020.
18. Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos
Sutton has had plenty of time to heal from his torn ACL suffered in Week 1 in 2020. I like him in the top 20 considering his 2019 season consisted of 1,112 yards and six touchdowns while playing with a hodge-podge of QBs. With stability at quarterback in 2020, Sutton’s ceiling is high.
19. Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
Rookie alert! Chase paired up with his LSU QB, Joe Burrow is bound to create a nice spill of fantasy points. Working with Burrow in 2019, Chase piled up 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns. Watch for more magic in 2021.
20.Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers
Look for Aiyuk to take his fantasy game to the next level. It will be up to Jimmy Garoppolo to retain his starting job, so look for more targets sent Aiyuk’s way to keep the ball in play.
Note that these fantasy WR rankings will be updated as training camps play out. Cheers!
