Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit ‘Em Quarterbacks: Matthew Stafford

Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit ‘Em Quarterbacks: Matthew Stafford

The following quarterbacks could be risky options in fantasy football Week 8, so they are better off sitting on your bench.

Sit ‘Em

Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions

Stafford has a tough Week 8 game coming up against the Colts. To date, the Colts have given up only seven passing touchdowns and an average of just 220 passing yards in six games. For those who can, look elsewhere for better starting options.

Daniel Jones, New York Giants

In no universe should Jones be in any fantasy lineups in Week 8. Jones will be the lucky QB attempting to move the sticks against that staunch Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense. While the Bucs have allowed 444 passing yards in their last two games, they given up only two passing scores in this time.

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

Don’t even think about it. Tagovailoa will make his NFL starting debut against the Rams. This Rams unit is giving up only 212 passing yards per contest and the seventh-fewest fantasy points to opposing QBs on the season.

Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams

Sticking to this same game, Goff could be slated for fantasy failure against Miami. The Dolphins have surrendered just three passing touchdowns in their last three games. And, opposing signal callers have struggled to average 10 fantasy points per contest in this stretch. See who is behind Door No. 2 instead.
